ETA Star Properties bags the prestigious Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award
ETA Star Properties was today awarded the prestigious Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award. ETA Star Properties is the only winner in the category of Real Estate Development at the fourth edition of the Awards held today.
Mr. Syed M. Salahuddin, Managing Director of the ETA Ascon Star Group, received the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award on behalf of ETA Star Properties from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai at an impressive event held at the Madinat Jumeirah.
The MRM Business Awards is a Dubai Chamber initiative aimed at honouring organizations that contribute directly in the development of the UAE national economy and the society at large. The MRM Business Award recognizes and celebrates the success of organizations for their contribution to economic success of the UAE.
Commenting on winning the award, Mr. Abid Junaid, Executive Director, ETA Star Properties, said: "It is a great honour for ETA Star Properties to receive the MRM Business Award. The Awards ceremony was attended by dignitaries, heads of Government departments, Board Members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry representatives of business councils, groups and trade centers, a large number of businessmen and members of the media.
The judging panel of the fourth edition of MRM Awards was headed by His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy and includes Abdul Raheem Hassan Naqi, Secretary General of the Federation of GCC Chambers, Helal Saeed Al Marri, Vice-Treasurer, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CEO of Dubai World Trade Center,
Robert L. Howie Jr, Managing Director of the US-based Palladium Group and President of the Balanced Scorecard Collaborative and Prince Sifiso Zulu, Vice Chairman, World Chambers Federation and Former President - Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The MRM Awards' selection, according to its organisers, was based on Business High Performance Model which was developed by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and covers issues related to the management and performance of the firms. The assessment criteria include Management Criteria and Performance Criteria, which takes 70 per cent of the total evaluation weight. The management criteria include five elements which are the leadership perspectives, the strategic initiatives, quality imperatives, corporate culture and corporate social responsibility. Moreover, the performance criteria include the output which is the actual quantity of products and services produced by the firm, the outcome which reflects the achievements implemented by the establishment, and the impact of the firm through its contribution towards the nation and society
