The ETA TechnoPark Project (ETA @ T) is a project with a vision that addresses the IT infrastructure requirements of the country. It envisages the creation of an IT SEZ (under the scheme of Government of India) in Chennai, on Old Mahabalipuram Road about 20 kms from Chennai. The campus will comprise of 26.36 acres with a built in area of about 4.16 million sq. ft. The project has been granted the SEZ clearance, making it one of the first few of its kind in Tamil Nadu. All other necessary approvals and clearances from various regulating authorities have been obtained enabling the project to go full steam ahead. The project is planned in a totally different style from the normal IT concrete jungles, with state-of-the-art construction technology and planning that is conducive to international clients. Yes, ETA has launched its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives with the 'Homes for Homeless' organisation in 2007, and Red Crescent Authority (RCA), a primary humanitarian organization of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to raise money to build homes for the destitute. ETA Star and its joint venture partners Hircon and Star Giga contributed one percent, approximately AED 2 million, to the RCA who will in turn build houses for the needy.
In 2008, ETA Star Properties program 'Homes for the Homeless' joined hands with Habitat for Humanity, an organisation that builds homes for the homeless across the world. ETA Star Properties and its joint venture partners Homes r Us, Dubai Lifestyle City and Star Cement will contribute 1% of their sales to Habitat for Humanity for building homes in Pakistan, India, Ethiopia and Bangladesh.
Humanatarian aid for the homeless at Myanmar by ETA Star
ETA Star Properties donated 5000kgs of rice grains for the benefit of people affected by Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar. The donation is being made through the World Concern Nargis Relief Team the world's largest international food assistance organization.
Cyclone Nargis caused the caused the worst natural disaster in the recorded history of Myanmar. The tempest took over 130,000 lives and has left more than 2 million people in need of humanitarian aid, contaminating water sources, obliterating schools and the Myanmar children are suffering from acute malnutrition.
Helping Gaza Victims
ETA Star Properties has joined hands with the Red Crescent Authority of the United Arab Emirates to provide relief supplies to the people affected in the war torn Gaza.
The employees of ETA Star Properties donated 25 cartons of new clothes for the people of Gaza. The donation was made through the Gaza Relief Fund set up by the Red Crescent Authority of the United Arab Emirates.
