ETA Star presents AED 2 million to Red Crescent Authority

     

    ETA Star presented a cheque worth AED 2 million to the Red Crescent Authority (RCA), a primary humanitarian organization of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to build homes for the destitute. The cheque value is equivalent to one per cent of the total sales of ETA Star and its joint venture partners Hircon and Star Giga during the Holy month of Ramadan.

    This cooperation between ETA Star and its joint venture partners Hircon and Star Giga with the RCA is expected to help thousands of needy families living around the world.

    Commenting on the handing over of the cheque to RCA, Mr. Abid Junaid, Executive Director of ETA Star said: “We received overwhelming response to the Home for the Homeless programme. We are grateful to our customers and joint venture partners who wholeheartedly supported the cause.”

    He added: “We believe our first ever charitable campaign has been a success and hope to continue this initiative in the years to come. We are convinced that our contribution will make a difference to a number of lives worldwide and hope our endeavor helps to develop sustainable communities. In RCA, we have found a reliable and trustworthy partner who have the capacity to carry our mission forward of fulfilling the basic need of building homes for the poverty stricken.”

    On receiving the cheque, Mr. Khalifa Nasser Aswedi, Chairman of RCA said, “We are very appreciative to ETA Star and its joint venture partners Hircon and Star Giga for their generosity. Their contribution would go a long way in providing shelter to people who are struggling around the world to find a way out of poverty. We hope this initiative will set an example and help in facilitating healthy communities.”

     He further added: “The RCA will use the donations to fulfill the basic needs of impoverished people by gifting a home to them and giving a sense of security to those who have been continuously been effected by poverty and selfish political agendas.”

    Mr. Darshan Hiranandani, Director, Hircon International said: “We are delighted to have partnered with ETA Star to be part of this noble initiative. We are that this small step will lead to similar or larger initiatives from other organisations in the future.”
